In 2008, during the economic downturn, Ross and his wife DeeDee founded Choreguys Snow Removal. At the time, Ross was employed by a U.S. company and searching for a way to create extra income to support his family. With nearly a decade of experience working for another snow removal business, he recognized an opportunity to build something better, a modern and dependable snow removal company that put service and reliability first.
Armed with just one tractor and one plow truck, they began servicing a small neighborhood in Moncton’s north end. Their focus was simple: show up, work hard, and take care of every customer like family.

By 2010, word of mouth had spread quickly. Customers noticed the difference in quality and professionalism, and before long Choreguys expanded beyond its first neighborhood, and operated with 3 tractors. Each winter brought new challenges, new routes, and new equipment, but the same family-driven commitment to excellence remained the foundation.

In 2012, Choreguys became one of the first and only snow removal company in the region to-date to offer AIR MILES® Reward Miles to customers. The response was overwhelming, and customers were thrilled to start earning rewards just for keeping their driveways clear.
That same year, two more tractors were added to the fleet, marking another step in Choreguys’ growth. These were the first tractors in the region equipped with specialized winter tires, giving the company a distinct competitive advantage in traction, efficiency, and reliability during harsh conditions.

By 2015, Choreguys’ growth had exploded. The company was now averaging the addition of one to two tractors per year since its inception and had built a fleet of more than ten tractors, all equipped with specialized snow tires for maximum performance.
That year, Choreguys also made the decision to end its partnership with AIR MILES®, as customer interest had shifted. Staying true to their commitment to delivering value, they replaced it with a customer appreciation initiative, the Endless Summer Giveaway, where one lucky customer won an all-expenses-paid cruise.
Continuing to lead the industry in innovation, Choreguys became one of the first companies in the region to integrate telematics technology into its fleet, allowing for advanced tracking, efficiency, and accountability across operations.

By 2017, Choreguys’ commercial division had exploded. Thanks to Ross’s extensive background in insurance work and the company’s relentless commitment to customer service, Choreguys became renowned for its quality and attention to detail. Every commercial site was managed with precision, minimizing risk and ensuring dependable results for clients year after year.
The integration of telematics and detailed record-keeping played a key role in this success, providing clients with clear documentation and performance assurance.
At the peak of the commercial division, Choreguys operated five loaders, 4 plow trucks, 2 salt trucks and 3 walkway crews. We utilized the most advanced plowing technology available, including Metal Pless wing plows with live edge systems, we were the second company in Moncton to invest in these blades and have them in our fleet, today 75% of companies in the area run Metal Pless blades, a true testament to our commitment to innovation. These investments represented over 1.5 million dollars reinvested into the business in just three years, setting a new standard for quality and professionalism in the industry.

By 2021, Choreguys was operating a fleet of roughly 13 tractors and servicing most of Moncton’s North End. The commercial division continued to grow rapidly, but it became clear that the company’s heart had always been with residential customers. As the focus on large-scale commercial work expanded, the personalized service and community connection that defined Choreguys began to fade.
For both personal and health reasons, and a desire to return to the company’s original mission, Ross and DeeDee made the decision to sell the commercial division to Fram Enterprises. Fram has since built on that foundation and operates one of the area’s leading commercial snow removal divisions today.
Refocused entirely on residential service, Ross doubled down on quality and innovation, reinvesting in the business by purchasing some of the most advanced snow blowers on the market, designed with specialized gates that pull snow away from objects for a cleaner, more precise finish. This return to roots reaffirmed what Choreguys was built on from day one: dependable service, exceptional results, and a genuine commitment to every homeowner.

In 2022, Choreguys expanded its residential snow removal services to Riverview, New Brunswick, marking an exciting new chapter of growth. That same year, the company once again invested heavily in innovation, introducing the Hybrid Snow Blower to its fleet.
Snow blower technology had remained virtually unchanged since its invention in 1925, until the arrival of the hybrid model. Choreguys quickly recognized its potential and began upgrading the entire fleet.
These hybrid blowers feature the same Metal Pless live edge technology that once gave the company’s commercial division its reputation for perfection. Now adapted for residential use, this cutting-edge system leaves the cleanest and most precise driveway finish in the area.
To this day, Choreguys continues to transition its entire fleet to hybrid models, ensuring no competitor in the region can match the quality, consistency, and attention to detail that has defined the company for more than a decade.

2024 marked one of the most exciting years in Choreguys’ history, reflecting a renewed commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. That year, the company introduced its GPS-powered software system, a fully integrated platform designed to revolutionize snow removal operations.
Every tractor in the fleet was equipped with a tablet running Choreguys’ custom software, allowing operators to view every property on an interactive GPS map. The system provided real-time routing, property details, and driveway information, ensuring every pass was precise and efficient. If a driveway was ever missed, the system instantly flagged it for follow-up, cutting customer calls about missed service down to less than three percent.
With this software came a suite of advanced features that no other competitor could offer, including automated driveway service alerts, live tractor tracking, a customer portal, and next-generation support. Customers quickly embraced the transparency and convenience, and as a result, Choreguys grew by nearly 400 new homes.
By the end of 2024, the fleet had expanded to over 15 tractors, each equipped with cutting-edge technology and operated by a team committed to delivering the highest level of service. It was a milestone year that redefined what modern snow removal could be.

From 2025 to today, Choreguys continues to grow and evolve in exciting ways. The company introduced two new tractor platforms to the fleet, a first for Choreguys, further boosting productivity, efficiency, and performance across every route.
With this rapid growth, Choreguys has truly become a family-run operation. Nearly every aspect of the business is now handled by family members, working together as operators, mechanics, the operations manager, and in accounting. A new generation of dedicated snow fighters has joined the team, carrying forward the same passion and pride that started it all back in 2008.
Choreguys would not be where it is today without the loyal support of our customers. We thank every homeowner who has trusted us year after year and look forward to continuing to serve our community for many winters to come.
